This is a very old Hopf violin, It is unlabeled but has the Hopf stamp below the button. It has an old patina that could only come from decades of use. It has obviously been played and played. Inside are three repair labels. The oldest reads W.H. Barnhardt 1796, next is  W.H Barnhardt Jr in 1821, a third Bessie Eggrman 1890 and the last reads Repaired by L.N. Clark 1903. It plays very well with a sweet voice that can become poiniant and aggressive when bowed hard.
