It is made from well seasoned European maple and spruce!  The Ming Jiang workshop is small enough to allow direct, over-the-shoulder master guidance. As you will see, the workmanship is very fine. The sound of this model is remarkable also. The del Gesu model has different archings and graduations of the plates creating a darker sound.  Specifically added depth in arching and some slightly thicker plates. It retains excellent clarity and dynamic range, making it a good choice for those seeking this particular type of sound. This can really be pushed hard yet still can be played pppp with excellent clarity and sweetness.
